what social networks do people use?
im on the obvious ones like facebook and myspace but not much of a fan.
are there any that blind people tend to use more than others?
I'm on facebook, and this one mostly.
I'm on this one (The Zone BBS), Eyes2Eyes, Livejournal, Facebook, Myspace, Hi5, Blinknation, Blind Planet, RealAge.com, and I think 2 other sites I can't think of at the moment. I am also signed up with EHarmony (that one was just out of curiosity because I like filling out questionnairs and finding out the results). (I never got around to finishing it though and will likely delete my account if possible.) Anyway, I'm also a member of some Yahoo groups and Penpal sites. I also used to be on Tickle. However, I'm planning to get out of most of the sites/groups I'm part of, as I really hardly ever log into or use most of them. In fact, the one I'm most likely to be reading/using is this one, one of my Yahoo Groups, and Eyes2Eyes. The rest I really hardly ever look at.

I'm not familiar with Eyes2Eyes. What is it/what's it like?
Eyes2Eyes is a community-type website like this one. I mean, like it has message boards, it's own private mail system, stuff like that. Although you can't read the message boards without logging in, there are sections that have regularly updated little articles such as recipes, household tips, inspiring/interesting pieces, and other sections and articles related to them. I would say the boards' atmosphere there is probably more like the Safe Haven board here.

I'm on here. And on blink nation but I've forgotten my password. I'd like to sign up on the blind planet but for some odd reason, internet explorer won't allow me to access it.
I'm on here, and on facebook, I liked the old facebook better, but I'll get used to this one too.

I suppose I forgot to say earlier what I'm on. I'm on livejournal, facebook, blinknation, and Xanga, though the xanga only get's updated about once a year. Everything but lj on that list usually doesn't get a visit more than a few times a month, if that.

I'm on Livejournal (Theophania), Facebook, youtube (Magkisa83), passionsnetwork.com (Magkisa83), adultfriendfinder.com, friendfinder.com, netfriendships.com, blinknation.com (Tiffanitsa I think), and have various posts on Craigslist and Kijiji. Btw, on the dating/etc sites I clearly state that I'm taken and am looking for friends only. Barely touch aff these days.
you ask if we have time for a life, my question to you is what is a life, if it is breathing and eating and sleeping then yes, if it is doing other stuff, then no. lol

I'm on blink nation, it's kind of unattractive, there really isn't much to do, but it's farely knew so I'm hopping it'll get better as time goes on

Though I hate the new Facebook layout and strangely hope the creator switches back to the old one, I don't do much on that. Mostly Wall posts when I get them, ect.
MySpace I only go on, like, once every few weeks. I don't know why I still have an account, but since a lot of people hate the new Facebook layout and are converting back to MySpace now, I guess it's a good thing I kept it.
So I'm mainly just on here. lol
Ok, I don't see a problem with the new facebook layout. I like it actually. The only yhing I'm not so happy with is i can't read my news feed by jumping from heading to heading, but other then that, i like it.
I don't mind it, but my profile is messed up, no headings, so idk how to view my wall, blink nation is interesting and I hope they add more to it in the long run
I'm most active on twitter and facebook, though I do have accounts on many other social network sites.

You don't need to have a lot going on in order to tweet. As an example, have a look at My Tweets. I'm about to pass the 1-kilotweet milestone. Thought I'd never use it but now I'm hooked.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see the relationship between this topic and its intended board category.
Oops, the word is relevance, not relationship, but perhaps that applies as well.
I can access the Facebook chat on the web site, but it's much easier using Adium (a multi-protocol messenger for the Mac). Perhaps Miranda (Adium's Windows analog) has an available Facebook chat plugin?
